The Var is the most visited region of France , after Paris. You will find enclosed some of my preferred destinations. You'll find many options from sandy beaches, excursions and sports... all is possible! On the coast From Sanary you will be able to take a mini-cruise and visite: "les calanques de Cassis and Marseille" with "la Croix du Sud" (www.croixdusud.com); The Golden Isles "Les îles d’or" (Porquerelles, Port Cros, Levant), in the bay of Hyères, those are full superbe full day excursion !(www.provenceweb.fr) or you can choose to spend the day at the Island of Les Embiez (www.les-embiez.com) to discover its charms.
In Land Les Gorges du Verdon
and le Lac de Ste Croix (less then 2 hours drive from Sanary) are

The Wine, the fruits, the vegetables, the flowers, the honey, the thym, the olive oil, all those symbolises the art of living "L'art de vivre" of this special region from L'Esterel to the Est up to the Castellet including Draguignan, Brignoles and St Maximin. From the massif de la Sainte Baume to the West up to the massif de l'Esterel to the East, throught the plaine des Maures in the Center of the Var region, it is cortege of wonder to be discovered: l'abbaye du Thoronet, la basilique de Saint Maximin, la Chartreuse de Verne... You will be able to discover the riche "patrimoine" of the Var....Churches, chapels, caves, castles, steeples and gorgeous villages. You will also disover our forest of "pins parasols" and red rocks of Maures and Esterel, or cool valley of l'Argens and Caramy, that link the coast to the back country. Le Var it's 300 kms of méditérranéen coast! It is here that you will find the best sand beaches, natural reserves and protected isles (Iles d'Or). Reputed Azurien cities: St Tropez, St Raphaël, Ste Maxime, Cavalaire, Bandol, Le Lavandou, St Cyr...) and old towns (Grimaud, Cogolin). You will also be able to enjoy 192 kms paths that follow the coast: beaches, calanques, caves, pine wood and wodland...all with beaufiful panoramic views over the sea, the rocks and nature.
